1. High degree of digitalization and automation of welding and cutting equipment

One of the highlights of this welding exhibition is the digitalization and high degree of automation of welding and cutting equipment. Except for electrode arc welding and argon arc welding equipment, most of the welding and cutting equipment adopts NC numerical control system and man-machine interface. The operator can According to different welding parts, freely set welding parameters or compile welding programs through the man-machine interface, and store the welding programs in the NC control system, which can store hundreds of welding programs, realizes intelligent welding, and is equipped with robots or The robotic arm system realizes all-round and efficient automatic welding or cutting. Not only the labor intensity is reduced, the efficiency is greatly improved, but stable and reliable high-quality welds can be obtained at the same time, and the welding process has good repeatability and reproducibility, and the welding quality is consistent.

Major manufacturers have tried their best to attract the attention of visitors. For example, ABB uses two robots to "work" together. Each robot's end arm "grabs" a display screen the size of a home TV, and then forms a picture together. The display of two robots "welding" the basketball ball line cooperatively launched by FANUC. As we all know, there are many ball lines on the surface of basketball. The direction of these ball lines is a good representation of the current complex weld shapes, such as saddle shape and intersecting lines. These welds are difficult to achieve if only one welding robot is used, but it is easy to achieve if two robots work together. FANUC has solved these problems well, and from the content exhibited by its company, it can be seen that these problems have been solved beautifully.

The collaborative motion of robots is a highlight of this Essen exhibition. A traditional welding robot is equipped with a turntable with only 8 degrees of freedom. Although it can weld some complex welds with complex shapes, with the development of small batches and diversification of products, a robot with a turntable can no longer meet the requirements. . The coordinated movement of the two robots can produce a total of 12 degrees of freedom, which greatly increases its "flexibility" and is fully capable of various complex welds, as shown in Figure 1. These technologies, such as the promotion and application of welding of large structural parts such as car bodies and turrets in the weapon industry, can not only realize high-speed and high-efficiency welding, but also reduce manufacturing costs and greatly shorten the manufacturing cycle.

   2. Larger power and downsizing of welding equipment

In order to meet the welding production needs of some large-thickness parts, various high-power welding equipment has emerged, especially high-energy beam welding equipment, such as laser and electron beam welding equipment. With the breakthrough of the key technical bottleneck of its equipment manufacturing, Some high-power or super-power welding equipment has been produced. At present, the power of high-power laser can reach more than 10kW, which can be used for welding combined gears and thick plates; the high-power electron beam welding machine of British CVE can reach more than 100kW, which can penetrate 380mm thick stainless steel plate at a time, and it can also be applied The electron beam free forming manufacturing technology and surface precision forming provide a broader prospect for the application of high-energy beam processing technology in the manufacturing industry.
